Pressure massage

Pneumatic massage is a therapeutic method widely used in professional sports. It uses a specially fitted pocket cuff on the lower or upper limb, to which air is injected at a pressure ranging from 20 mmHg to 100 mmHg. The purpose of this treatment is a deep lymphatic massage, which will improve blood circulation and help in the removal of waste products. It is excellent after intensive physical effort as a booster of regeneration processes. It is also applied in hospital conditions after orthopaedic procedures, e.g., after reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament. The purpose here is to reduce oedema accumulated by inefficient muscle pumps and to improve tissue tropism.
