POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION PROGRAM is recommended for everyone who wants to return to full mobility under the constant care of specialists after an orthopedic surgery. It is also designed for general improvement and prevention. We offer care from an orthopedic doctor, professional physiotherapy, and access to necessary equipment for rehabilitation. The duration and scope of physiotherapy are tailored to individual patient needs, in accordance with medical recommendations. The rehabilitation program takes place at the MIRAI Clinic in Otwock.
The aim of our work together is to:
- Evaluate the current health status, both structural and functional
- Desensitize tissues, reduce pain, and mobilize lost range of motion through manual therapy
- Restore functionality of the operated area of the body through exercises performed with a physiotherapist
- Strengthen the weakest elements of the kinetic chain of the movement system through training designed and carried out under strict supervision of a physiotherapist
- Re-educate in terms of movement patterns that may have been a cause of pre-operatively observed defects
- Improve posture, often imperfect and a source of continuous tissue overload
In preparing the program, we took care of a comprehensive approach to assessing and improving the health status of our patients. Therefore, the following are included in the program:
- Physiotherapy consultation – during which a physiotherapist will conduct an evaluation and analysis of the operated area based on postoperative documentation. They will also analyze the musculoskeletal system and precisely determine the goals, therapy plan, and scope of physiotherapeutic procedures aimed at returning to health after surgery and eliminating observed dysfunctions.
- Daily one-hour manual therapy – aimed at reducing pain and restoring mobility of individual segments of the movement system.
- Daily functional medical training, i.e. exercises supervised by a physiotherapist – will allow for the development of an optimal set of exercises and ensure the correct technique of their execution.
- Daily physiotherapy sessions using equipment for electrostimulation, edema absorption and tissue cooling, high-energy laser, shock wave, and other equipment that speeds up the tissue healing process after surgery.
- Daily (except for the first day) one-hour session of oxygen therapy in a hyperbaric chamber – its goal is to stimulate the production of stem cells, reduce inflammation, optimize tissue healing and regeneration, and improve metabolism.
- Daily individual exercises – will allow each patient to use the knowledge gained during exercises with a physiotherapist; our patients have a modern and fully equipped exercise room at their disposal.
Upon request, we can include additional consultations with our specialists in the program:
- Vascular surgeon
- Aesthetic medicine doctor
During their stay, our patients reside in renovated rooms of the former Abram Gurewicz Guesthouse in one of the wings of the facility, and all meals are served in our stylish restaurant.
The stay, as well as all consultations and treatments, take place in the same facility.
We provide all patients with free parking, a discount on any additional tests/therapy sessions, unlimited access to the exercise room, and internet access.
